Formula Drift 2019 Round 1: Just the Beginning

Drift cars were roaring down the streets of Long Beach, California the weekend of April 5. With the 2019 Formula Drift Season kicking off, ARK Performance is proud to sponsor five Formula Drift Pro 1 drivers this year.

The following drivers are a part of Team ARK Performance 2019:

Qualifying Round on Friday April 5th:

Friday’s qualifying round began strong with all five drift drivers qualifying for Tandem Battles the following day.

Qualifying Round Results and Standings:

James Deane seeded 2nd – 98 points

Piotr Wiecek seeded 3rd – 97 points

Odi Bakchis seeded 5th  – 97 points

Jhonnattan Castro seeded 15th – 91  points

Ryan Litteral seeded 26th - 79 points

Pro Standings after Round 1 Long Beach:

The following day was intense with intense tandem battles. Most of the Team ARK drivers were able to make it into the top 16,

but eventually, Odi Bakchis led the way to win first place with a decisive tandem battle with Forrest Wang # 808. All the Team ARK Drivers did fantastic,

and with such a strong start to the season, we can’t wait to see how the rest of the season will play out. 


Round 1 Results and Standings:

James Deane – 6th with 53 points

Piotr Wiecek – 7th with 52 points

Ryan Litteral – 13th with 33 points

Jhonnattan Castro – 19th with 18 points
