Team ARK 2022 Drift Announcement
ARK Performance is delighted to announce partnerships in 2022 with Piotr Weicek for the Driftmasters Season and Aurimas “Odi’ Bakchis for the Formula Drift season! With these two powerhouse drivers, both piloting the Nissan S15 chassis, we aim to support these drivers in their goal of seeing the top step on the podium when the smoke clears!
We are happy to announce continued support for Piotr Weicek in the Drift Masters European Championship into 2022. Piotr was able to dominate the 2021 championship with 3 wins from 4 podiums. He is set to challenge this season in the 2JZ powered Nissan S15 that saw him take the 2021 title. Piotr made seemingly light work of the competition in 2021 where there were just 2 venues to hold 4 rounds of competition as much Europe was still enduring restrictions due to Covid, but that did not stop 66 other drivers from standing in his way to victory. We are gracious to see Driftmasters return this year with a 6 round championship as Covid restrictions are lifting.
We are excited to be back onboard with Odi Bakchis this year in Formula Drift! We last were with him in 2019 when he was piloting his S14.5 where he placed 3rd overall and 2 wins. In 2021 Odi took his S15 to 3rd overall in the championship will be on the hunt for his first title in 2022. Odi is looking to start the season strong and with Long Beach being the first round in the championship, a track that Bakchis historically places very well at, we believe he has a very good chance to start strong and carry momentum all the way through the season.
The Formula Drift season is set to kick off April 1st in Long Beach and Driftmasters starts a month later at Mondello Park on May 7th.
