Aurimas Bakchis Takes 3rd at Long Beach

Carrying momentum from the 2021 season, Aurimas “Odi” Bakchis started the 2022 Formula Drift season strong at Round 1 in Long Beach, California last weekend. The last two Formula Drift events held in Long Beach were won by Bakchis, and it was no surprise that he was on the Long Beach podium again in 2022 in the Falken Tires Feal Suspension Nissan S15.

Bakchis picked up right where he left off in the 2021 season with a strong qualifying run on the iconic street circuit that utilizes the final 3 turns of the Long Beach Grand Prix Circuit. Bakchis danced around the track, flirting with the walls to obtain a score of 93 which put him in 4th position and set him up for a strong performance on Saturday. Bakchis battled through Formula Drift rookie Nick Noback in Top 32 to advance into the top 16 where he faced Dean Kearney and after advancing through Kearney, Bakchis is met with Rome Charpentier in top 8 and then Ryan Tuerck in the final 4. After a hard fought battle, Bakchis was awarded 3rd place in the event.
